Pump Up the Volume of Fine Hair
You may enjoy a fine wine, but most of us don’t enjoy having limp, fine hair.
If your hair is fine and limp with little to no body, don’t worry. There are a few things you can do to pump up the volume.
Shampoo more often. Your hair is limp because it’s weighted down easily, most likely with oils, residue and buildup. So, your hair needs to be shampooed often first with a gently cleansing shampoo, then second with a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Be careful not to massage the conditioner into the scalp because that action will produces more oil.
Air dry your hair to add more volume. If you use a hair dryer, turn down the heat to a lower setting. More heat will make it look even finer.
Between shampoos, spray your hair with a dry shampoo and dry conditioner to absorb assess oils and add volume back to your hair. It’s a great way to extend that style for a couple more days.
At night, avoid wrapping your hair with a scarf. Wrapping will flatten your style and leave it limp, again. Instead, try pin-curling your hair.
